Multicultural Marthas is the first-ever English-speaking Martha association. We’re a young and growing community, open to everyone—and we’d be thrilled to have you join us!

Our association welcomes everyone interested in hands-on activities that celebrate community, nature, food and culture. These activities are grounded in the Martha values of sustainable living, the joy of working together, and openness. Joining us is a great way to learn more about Finnish culture as well as the diverse cultures our members represent while also sharing your own. Could this be your new favorite hobby?

Everyone is welcome to attend an event for the first time without being a member! We want to give you the opportunity to see who we are and what we’re about before deciding whether you’d like to join our association. Hope to see you at an event!

Join Multicultural Marthas

You can now become a member of Multicultural Marthas! The membership fee is 49€ annually.

All levels of participation are warmly welcomed! As a member you are free to take part in Multicultural Marthas activities as flexibly as you want, whether that means being fully involved or just joining in on activities from time to time.

You’re also welcome to attend an event before joining—come and see what we’re all about!

Unfortunately the form for joining is in Finnish, don't hesitate to ask us for help if needed.

Joining Multicultural Marthas includes:

  • Membership in the Multicultural Marthas association

  • A like-minded, English-speaking community

  • Access to all our events and activities - see the list of events below

  • Opportunity to voluntarily organize events and activities with other members

  • A subscription to the official Martat magazine (in Finnish)

  • Discounts on Martha activities, such as cooking classes organized by Uudenmaan Martat

  • Connection to a national network of over 1,000 local Martha associations
